Duty of Candour Procedures
The Health (Tobacco, Nicotine etc. and Care) (Scotland) Act 2016 introduced a duty of candour on health, care and social work services and came into effect on 1 April 2018.
This duty is to ensure that organisations are open, honest and supportive when there is an unexpected or unintended incident resulting in death or harm to a service user.
Clackmannanshire Women's Aid have a duty to provide a short report annually in April on how our service has operated the Duty of Candour over the year. We have created a link to our latest report below. If you have any issues opening the report contact our Public Office on 01259 721407 and our workers will be happy to help.
